Jake, I hope you had a great birthday and didn't get stuck at the hospital for too long. I'm sorry I didn't get back to call you again. We got too involved in doing things away from the house and when we got back home it was pretty late.
We went to see the movie "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs". Here is my review: It is boring, gross, fun animation, and in a couple of spots I laughed until I had tears in my eyes. You are on your own to decide whether to see it or not. The belly laughs did feel good though. It's been a while since I have laughed so hard. I did find myself wondering what I was doing, going to see such a show. It is pretty silly.
Did I mention earlier that we went to the cabin a couple of weeks ago and Dad & Uncle Keith put the new stove pipe through the roof in preparation to putting the stove in. I worked on the paneling until the generator gave out and I was unable to continue because of lack of power. I got the paneling to the NW corner of the room. I had hoped to go further.
Tuesday Dad is going to take the day off and we will have an apple day. We hope to pick all the golden delicious and press many of them into juice. They have a nice rosy glow on many of them.
Thanks to everyone for the birthday cards. I did have to go to work on Sat. (my birthday) until about 2PM. It ruined my morning but it was a beautiful day after a week of rain, so things got much better. Leigh made it a great day and made pumpkin pie, which we were too full of tocco's to even eat. It's nice to have a birthday on a weekend. It sounds like like the cabin has made a lot of progress this summer. I had a big brain aneurysm clipping surgery planned for this morning but it was cancelled by the surgeons. They probably decided it was too risky. I'm sure they will find something else for me to do. Jake
mom didn't make this clear. it was just her and i that went to the movie. (her and me? me and her? her and myself *just kidding mom!!*) i have to agree with her about the review. some of the parts were really slow, and other parts were so funny that i almost couldn't breathe. my suggestion? wait for red box. or if you have something like netflix. don't pay full price for that movie.
anyway...i'm glad you had a good birthday jake. and sorry that you had to go to the hospital. that's the price you pay for being such a great doctor. :)

I can't believe you all turned my birthday blog into an English grammar lesson. You should do that stuff on your own birthday blogs!
ReplyDeleteheh. sorry jake. but i really do hope that you had a great day. even if we did turn your birthday blog into an english lesson. :)
ReplyDeleteA year and couple months later: YES! English Weenies DO Rule!!!
