What a busy month. Between getting ready for Christmas and getting everything ready for the Primary to start a new year, I haven't had much time to relax. Fortunately I worked hard enough that I could relax and really enjoy Christmas day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.
Even though it wouldn't be much trouble to go home on New Years Eve, we decided to spend the night at the Sampsel's. We only stayed up visiting a little bit after everyone else had gone home, but the next day really paid off. We had a really nice waffle with eggs & bacon breakfast. Then Dan, Brenda, Quint and I played a couple games of Pandemic. We even tried the new variation with Quint as the bio-terrorist. We didn't win either game, but came close and had a good time.
My family's 2 day Christmas party started that evening with dinner and visiting. The next morning we were on our way to go sledding with the family when our transmission went out. Mom, Dad & Julie came to our rescue. We had it towed to our mechanic and rented a van for the week. I took Corwin & Luke with me to the lunch and gift exchange portion of the party and salvaged the day OK.
All in all, we had a good holiday season and the new year is off to a decent start :-)
I'm afraid our Primary presidency didn't do as good of a job as it sounds like you did. These first two weeks have been chaotic! None of the teachers got their new manuals and some didn't know which class they would be teaching :(
ReplyDeleteWe're still trying to work out when sharing time and singing time begin and end (going from 9:00 church to 12:30 church is tricky!)
It sounds like everyone had a nice holiday season (sorry Julie, I'll continue to use "holiday season" when I want to refer to more than one holiday). Sorry to hear about your car troubles Q & E. Hopefully after this fix your van will continue to be a reliable vehicle for you.
I'm planing a trip out to Utah in April. More details to follow...
