How are you doing, Dad?
Will someone read this to Dad? I just wanted to see how the surgery went and make sure you're doing well. Plus I thought it was a funny idea for a blog post and I haven't posted anything in a while :) Love you all!
his surgery went well. right now he looks like he went a few rounds with a professional boxer. (two black eyes). he hasn't said recently that there has been some discomfort. at least, not since wendesday night when the medication was wearing off. he's been wearing sunglasses a lot when he goes out. i think maybe because he isn't used to having so much light come into his eyes...or just to hide the black eyes. ;)
Now your Dad looks great, he looks more alert and more handsome than ever. His eyes get a bit dry but I hope that will decrease as the healing continues. I think he is very glad he had the surgery as he can see better and looks better. I am glad he did it because his lids were blocking his vision more and more and now he is back to seeing the upper range of his vision without having to tip his head or force his eyes unnaturally wide open. It was a good choice for him to do. It is funny how many people know someone who has had this surgery done. Lots of parents, grandparents - older people have had it done.
