Miscommunication...
Yesterday Wyatt was tugging on my hand trying to get me to come with him. I kept saying to him to "tell me what you want". He just got more and more upset. I said "use your words" and in his most distraught tone he looked at me and said "Words!" Sometimes I forget that Wyatt doesn't quite get some of the phrases I use. We're still working on getting him into a pre-K class (school has been in session for a week now) where he will be able to work with some specialists who can hopefully coax some words out of him and get him to make connections between his language and the world around him. Clearly I'm clueless about how to do that.

in case you didn't see my post on katie being close to being potty trained, talk to diane crim. i mentioned to her on saturday about wyatt and the problems you are facing. she had some questions that i couldn't answer. but she said she would be very happy to help you with anything she can. :)
