Haiti Trip

As some of you may or may not have heard, Jake is leaving for Haiti on Thursday to do a medical mission with some of his coworkers, organized by a non-profit group. He will be there until Tuesday doing long, pediatric neurosurgery cases. I'm so proud of him for choosing to do this! When we come out to Utah this summer, we'll plan a night that Jake can share his stories and photos for anyone who is interested. Haiti is a very poor country and still struggling from the effects of last year's earthquake. You can imagine that it is a challenging place to visit. Please keep Jake in your prayers that he can stay safe and healthy while he travels and works. Our trip is less than two months away; let the countdown commence!

    Yay!!!
Was it really last year with the earthquake? Amazing to me how quickly time moves when you aren't paying attention. I can't wait to hear his stories about going there. I have a friend who used to go there with the doctor she worked with. She would tell me stories that would almost break my heart.
