No...this isn't about college basketball. March Madness is about reading the Book of Mormon in the month of March. (Mom mentioned it at FHE last Sunday.) We are only 5 days into it. It is possible to catch up if you have fallen behind, or if you haven't even started yet. Todays reading is 2 Nephi 7-16. If you've lost your bookmark with the reading schedule, or if you never got one I can post one here...or you can just look at the "quote-a-day" calendar that Mom gave everyone for Christmas...look at December 31st.
I just wanted to encourage everyone to do this challenge. I know. Me. A reading challenge. I'm actually really enjoying this. It has been way too long since I have read the entire Book of Mormon. I have already learned some things that I didn't know before-Or may have forgotten...I don't remember. ;)
I've read every day and I'm still behind. I really need to catch up or I'll never finish in time! I'm close (1 Ne 19), so if I make a big push I can catch up today. I will do it!
ReplyDeleteI decided to accept this challenge since it also has been a long time since I read the book of momon. I am really enjoying it too. Dan downloaded the scriptures onto our iPhone so I have been able read while on my lunch break at work.
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I didn't know you got an iPhone. Do you like it? Jake just got an iPod-Touch and he won't shut up about it :) Every time he gets a cool new app or discovers a new feature, he has to tell me how awesome it is. He absolutely loves it. We're thinking about getting an iPad for me to use... sometime in the future.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea to put the scriptures on your phone. I just haven't taken the time to actually do that with my phone. Oh well. I've got other resouces.
And don't worry Leigh. When you get here, I'll be the one to show you my ipod-touch...and how cool it is :) Just so you don't get too homesick for Jake.
