Milk, etc.

Hey everyone,
I heard of an interesting website created by someone at BYU. You can go on it and find out where your dairy products come from. It is interesting to find that most of it comes from the same place. I looked at Western Family, Smith's, Mt. Dairy and found they came from Smith's Dairy in Layton. Cream O' Weber comes from the Cream O' Weber plant in SLC. You can find the code on your bottle and then put it in at the website and it will locate the origin. 49-70 is the one in Layton and 49-10 is Cream O' Weber. Here is the website: whereismymilkfrom.com
Leigh, you might even be able to use it. It's just something to look at to give you a bit of information about local products vs those from far away. You can save some money and buy the cheaper product knowing they come from the same place.

  1. So...now two of my friends think I'm way weird and random. Just out of the blue I asked them if they drank milk. And then asked if they had ever wondered what plant it came from. One friend so kindly pointed out that milk comes from cows. Not plants. Yeah...it's been a long day already. :)

  2. Ha ha! Milk from plants... yeah, I wouldn't want to drink what comes out of milkweed!

I already buy the cheapest milk I can find; it would be interesting to see if it came from the same farm as the expensive stuff.

  3. This sounds like an interesting site. I suspected that some milk came from the same place.
